Reid connections

I am currently exploring the hypotheses that I am descended from Malcolm Reid of Tulliemet.  He appears in the extensive tree on the Clan Donnachaidh website (p.32) but may have had more children than is shown.  If so, that makes me a distant cousin to General John Reid of Straloch, the British Army officer who endowed the Chair of Music at the University of Edinburgh.
